I am Inge Oosterbosch

Inge Oosterbosch

Started a long time ago.

I started as a volunteer in the coffee stall in 2002. The competition and the atmosphere immediately worked like a virus. I never skipped a year as a volunteer after this.

In 2012 I guided the volunteers during the European Diving Championships. Since then I have also been responsible for the volunteer team at the EDC. I am also responsible for the construction and decoration of the swimming pool.

I have been fortunate to have been able to count on an enthusiastic, committed and hardworking team for years. Of course volunteers stop every year, but new volunteers are also added every year. Fortunately, because my team has consisted of at least 30 to 35 volunteers in recent years. Not all of them are present throughout the whole tournament. Yet you can see at least 20 volunteers walking around every day.

It is nice to be able to follow how the jumpers grow. Not only in performance, but also as a person. Often the jumpers are 11 or 12 years old the first time you see them jump. Many keep coming back for years. Sometimes you can even see them at the World Cup or at the Olympics.

There is always a relaxed, pleasant and sometimes even an exuberant atmosphere among the volunteers. This is also reflected on the pool floor and is also experienced as pleasant by the visiting teams. It’s always great to end the day with a stomach ache from laughing.
