EDC the 24th edition in the news

The second day of the 24th edition of the largest international tournament is under way! We look back on a very successful first day and are happy to share some of the media coverage with you.

AllSportsRadio’s interview with EDC tournament director Christine

In the run-up to the event, AllSportsRadio presenter Joël Visscher had an interview with tournament director Christine Praasterink. As many as 31 teams from 18 countries travelled to Eindhoven for Europe’s biggest international diving event. What can we expect from four days of diving in the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swimming Stadium?

Studio040, the public local broadcaster for the Dutch municipalities of Eindhoven, Geldrop-Mierlo and Waalre (province of North Brabant), visited the EDC on Friday and interviewed tournament director Christine Praasterink. They talked about the fact that this is the 24th edition of this important international event for the diving sport. 222 participants will show us their best dives for which they train intensively. They all look to achieve the best possible qualification of course.

EDC 2024

Eindhovens Dagblad

Journalist Linda Derksen of the Eindhovens Dagblad interviews divers Maud van Kempen and Manou Meulenbeek, both TeamNL athletes, about their participation in the Eindhoven Diving Cup. The article in the Eindhovens Dagblad will be published this weekend.

Manou finished 3rd in the women’s 1 metre on Friday. Maud will compete in the women’s platform on Saturday.

General information on the Eindhoven Diving Cup

During the tournament, there will be solo dives from the 1 and 3-metre boards and from the tower in the various age categories. In addition, the men’s and women’s synchronised diving of the 3-metre board will take place.
